Mae Carreg Hirfaen yn Ysgol Gynradd Gymunedol i blant rhwng 4 ac 11 oed. Mae'r ysgol fach wledig hon wedi'i lleoli ym mhentref Cwmann, ger Llanbedr Pont Steffan, ar gyrion gogleddol Sir Gaerfyrddin - ar y ffin rhwng Ceredigion a Sir Gâr.

Carreg Hirfaen is a Community Primary School for children between the age of 4 and 11. This small, rural school is located within the village of Cwmann, near Lampeter, on the northern edge of Carmarthenshire, on the boundary between Ceredigion and Carmarthenshire. 

Carmarthenshire Education Authority have placed the school in Category A. This means that the school is considered to be a traditional Welsh school.
