  Mae system gwresogi'r ysgol wedi methu yn ystod y dydd ac er i dechnegwyr Lorne Stewart fod yn bresennol ar safle'r ysgol trwy'r prynhawn ni lwyddwyd i oresgyn y broblem. Bydd y technegwyr yn dychwelyd yn y bore i barhau efo'r gwaith o drwsio'r system.

  Gyda'r tywydd oer yn parhau tros nos a'r tymheredd o fewn yr adeiliad erbyn hyn yn ofnadwy o isel ni fydd yn bosib i ni agor yr ysgol i'n disgyblion yfory.

  Disgwylwn y bydd y technegwyr wedi llwyddo i drwsio'r system gwresogi erbyn dydd Llun.

   

  The school's heating system has unfortunately failed during the day and although Lorne Stewart's engineers have been present on the school site throughout the afternoon they have been unable to resolve the issue. The technicians will return in the morning to continue with the work.

  With the cold weather continuing overnight and the temperature inside the building falling it will not be possible for us to open the school for our pupils tomorrow.

  We expect that the technicians will have succeeded in fixing the heating system by Monday.

  Y tymor hwn bydd ein Nosweithiau Rhieni yn cael eu cynnal yn neuadd yr ysgol - wyneb i wyneb gydag athrawes ddosbarth eich plentyn. Bydd cyfle gennych i bori llyfrau gwaith eich plentyn yn gyntaf cyn trafod ei gynnydd/chynnydd efo'r athrawes. Bydd y nosweithiau yn rhedeg rhwng 3.30pm a 6.30pm.   This term our Parents' Evenings will be held in person with your child's class teacher at the school. You will have the opportunity to browse your child's workbooks before discussing their progress with the teacher. Both evenings will run from 3.30pm until 6.30pm.   Gwahoddir ceisiadau am Riant-lywodraethwr ar gyfer yr ysgol o blith rhieni gyda phlentyn/plant ar gofrestr yr ysgol er mwyn llanw swydd wag ar y Corff Llywodraethol.

  Mae’r ffurflen gais, ynghŷd â’r cyfyngiadau ar gymhwyster pobl i fod yn llywodraethwyr, wedi atodi a dylid eu hanfon yn ôl at llywodraethu@sirgar.gov.uk erbyn 10 o’r gloch y bore ar ddydd Dydd Gwener, 4ydd Tachwedd 2022.

  Bydd y rhiant-lywodraethwr llwyddiannus yn gwasanaethu am gyfnod o 4 blynedd ac NI fydd rhaid iddo/iddi ymddiswyddo os bydd ei p(h)lentyn/p(h)lant yn gadael yr ysgol.

  Dear Parent,

  Applications are invited for a Parent Governor at the school from parents with a child/children registered at the school in order to fill a vacancy on the Governing Body.

  Application papers, together with the limitation provisions on people’s eligibility to be governors, are attached and should be returned to governance@carmarthenshire.gov.uk by 10 a.m. on Friday, 4th November 2022.

  The successful Parent Governor will serve for a period of 4 years and will NOT be required to cease to hold office when his/her children leave the school.

  Annwyl Riant/gofalwr - Dear Parent/Guardian,

   

  Wrth groesawu eich plentyn yn ôl i’r ysgol ym mis Medi, hoffwn rannu’r wybodaeth ddiweddaraf ichi am nifer o faterion pwysig yn ymwneud a’r ysgol.

  Wrth gwrs, mae sicrhau diogelwch pawb wrth ddychwelyd i’r ysgol yn hollbwysig ac am y rheswm hwnnw rydym yn dymuno sicrhau bod gennym ystod o fesurau rheoli yn eu lle. Mae’r rhain yn cynnwys:

  • Sicrhau hylendid da, gyda chyfleoedd golchi dwylo rheolaidd trwy gydol y dydd a chyflenwadau o hylif diheintio mewn mannau lle nad yw'n bosibl golchi dwylo.

  • Sicrhau awyr iach o amgylch yr adeilad ac yn arbennig yn y dosbarthiadau.

   

  In welcoming your child back to school in September, I would like to update you on a number of important issues relating to the school.

  Of course, ensuring the safety of everyone on our return to school is vital and for that reason we wish to ensure that we have a range of control measures in place. These include:

  • Ensuring good hygiene, with regular hand washing opportunities throughout the day and supplies of 'sanitiser' in locations where hand washing is not possible.
  • Ensuring fresh air around the building and especially in classrooms.

   

  Cinio Ysgol - School Meals

  Bydd disgyblion sydd fel arfer yn hawlio Cinio Ysgol Am Ddim yn parhau i dderbyn eu Prydau Ysgol Am Ddim ym mis Medi. Yn ychwanegol, tan gynllun newydd Llywodraeth Cymru, o Fedi 5ed bydd disgyblion amser llawn ein  blynyddoedd Meithrin a Derbyn (Dosbarth Sawel) efo’r hawl i gael prydau Ysgol Am Ddim. Bydd y trefniant Prydau Ysgol am Ddim hwn yn cael ei ymestyn i flynyddoedd 1 a 2 yn ystod tymhorau’r  Gwanwyn a’r Haf 2023.

  Pupils who usually claim Free School Meals will continue to receive their Free School Meals in September. Under a new Welsh Government scheme, from September 5^th our full time pupils in both Nursery and Reception years (Sawel Class) will be entitled to Free School meals. This Free School Meals arrangement will be extended to years 1 and 2 during the 2023 Spring/Summer terms.

   

  Poteli Dwr - Water Bottles

  Bydd angen i pob disgybl sicrhau cyflenwad digonol o ddŵr trwy gydol y dydd ac fe’u hanogir i ddod â photel o ddŵr gyda nhw i’r ysgol yn ddyddiol. Anogir disgyblion i hydradu trwy gydol y dydd a byddant yn gallu ail-lenwi eu poteli dŵr unrhyw bryd yn y dosbarth.

  Bydd poteli dŵr ar gael yn yr ysgol i chi eu harchebu ar gyfer eich plant. Mae gwybodaeth pellach i ddilyn.

  All pupils will need to ensure a sufficient supply of water throughout the day and are encouraged to bring a bottle of water with them to school daily. Pupils are encouraged to hydrate throughout the day and will be able to refill their water bottles at any time. Water bottles are available at school for you to order for your children. Further information will follow.  

   

  Llaeth – Milk

  Bydd disgyblion y Cyfnod Sylfaen yn parhau i dderbyn llaeth yn ystod amser egwyl.

  Foundation Phase pupils will continue to receive milk during break time.

   

  Clwb Brecwast - Breakfast Club

  Mae Clwb Brecwast am ddim ar gael i’r plant pob bore. Mae’n rhedeg rhwng 8am a 8.30am pob diwrnod ysgol.

  A free Breakfast Club is available to the children every morning. It runs between 8am and 8.30am every school day.

   

  Clwb Gofal – After School Care Club

  Mae Clwb Gofal ar ol Ysgol hefyd ar gael i chi ei ddefnyddio os dymunwch. Mae’n cynnig gofal ar ôl ysgol i’ch plentyn o 3.20pm hyd 6pm yn ystod y tymor. Bydd angen archebu lle ymlaen llaw yn y Clwb Gofal. I gael rhagor o wybodaeth am ofal plant cysylltwch â Mrs Dawn Ling ar 01570 423426.

  An After School Care Club is available for you to use if you wish. It offers after school care for your child from 3.20pm to 6pm during term time. You will need to book a place in advance. For further information on childcare contact Mrs Dawn Ling on 01570 423426.

   

  Addysg Awyr Agored - Outdoor Provision and Equipment

  Bydd angen i ddisgyblion y ddau gyfnod allweddol ddod â chôt law i’r ysgol yn ddyddiol er mwyn iddynt allu cael mynediad rheolaidd at ddysgu yn yr awyr agored.

  Pupils in both key stages will need to bring a rain coat to school daily so that they can have regular and quality access to outdoor learning.

   

  Gwisg Ysgol - School Uniform

  Gwnewch yn siŵr bod enw eich plentyn wedi’i labelu’n glir ar bob dilledyn.

  Please ensure that your child’s name is labelled clearly on each garment.  

   

  Amser cychwyn a gorffen ysgol - School start and finish times

  Amser cychwyn ysgol yn y bore yw 8.50yb. Mae’r trefniadau ar gyfer gollwng eich plentyn yn yr ysgol yn y bore yn aros yr un fath ag yr oedd yn ystod tymor yr Haf. Rhwng 8am a 8.30am bydd pob disgybl sy'n cyrraedd yr ysgol yn mynychu'r Clwb Brecwast. O 8.30am ymlaen bydd disgyblion yn cael eu croesawu gan staff wrth giât yr ysgol a’u hebrwng i’w dosbarth.

  Amser cau'r ysgol yn y prynhawn yw 3.20pm. Gydag amser cau diwedd y diwrnod ysgol yn dychwelyd i 3.20pm ar gyfer yr holl ddisgyblion bydd y trefniadau ar gyfer casglu eich plentyn yn y prynhawn yn wahanol i’r hyn oeddent yn ystod cyfnod Covid-19. Bydd disgyblion yn rhesi ar iard yr ysgol yn nhrefn dosbarth a bydd rhieni yn casglu eu plant trwy fynd i mewn i’r iard trwy Fynedfa 1 (y gât fach wrth Prif Fynedfa’r Ysgol sy’n rhoi mynediad i iard yr ysgol) ac allan trwy Fynedfa 2 (Y giât fawr ger y parc antur sy'n rhoi mynediad i iard yr ysgol).

  Mae lle parcio yn debygol o fod yn brin iawn yn y prynhawn felly rydym yn cynghori rhieni i barcio’n gyfrifol ac ystyried defnyddio’r maes parcio sydd ar gael yng Nghanolfan Gymunedol y Pentref.

  School start time in the morning is at 8.50am. The arrangements for dropping your child off in the morning therefore remains the same as they were during the Summer term. Between 8am and 8.30am all pupils arriving at school will attend the Breakfast Club. From 8.30am onwards pupils will be welcomed by staff at the school gate and escorted to class.

  School closing time in the afternoon is at 3.20pm. With the end of school day closing time now returning to 3.20pm for all pupils the arrangements for collecting your child in the afternoon will differ to what they were during Covid-19. Pupils will line up on the school yard in class order and parents will collect their children by entering the yard through Entrance 1 (the small gate at the Main School Entrance that gives access to the school yard) and exiting through Entrance 2 (The large gate near the adventure park that gives access to the school yard).

  Parking space is likely to be scarce in the afternoon therefore we advise parents to park responsibly and to consider using the parking space available at the Village Community Centre and enter the school grounds via the bottom gate  (by the 3g playing field).  

   

  Trefniadau Bws Ysgol - School Bus Arrangements

  Os yw eich plentyn fel arfer yn teithio i'r ysgol ar fws neu dacsi yna bydd y trefniadau hynny yn parhau i fod yn eu lle ar ddechrau'r tymor newydd. Bydd amser casglu'r bore yn debyg i'r trefniant tymor diwethaf. Fodd bynnag, ar ddiwedd y diwrnod ysgol, rhagwelir y bydd y bws yn gollwng disgyblion tua 10 munud yn hwyrach nag arfer oherwydd bod amser cau'r ysgol yn dychwelyd i 3.20pm. Ni fydd y bws yn gadael yr ysgol tan 3.30pm.

  If your child normally travels to school by bus or taxi then those arrangements will continue to be in place at the start of the new term. Morning pick-up time will be similar to last term. However, at the end of the school day, it is anticipated that the bus will drop off pupils approximately 10 minutes later than usual due to the school closing time returning to 3.20pm. The bus will not be leaving the school until 3.30pm.

• ASESIADAU PERSONOL - PERSONAL ASSESSMENTS

  Byddwn yn cynnal asesiadau personol gyda'n disgyblion blynyddoedd 2, 3, 4, 5 a 6 yn ystod y pythefnos nesaf.

  Bydd yr asesiadau yma yn cael eu gweithio i mewn yn naturiol i ddiwrnod ysgol arferol pob plentyn er mwyn osgoi ac atal unrhyw gor-bryder ymysg y plant.

  Rhennir sgoriau'r asesiadau gyda chi yn Adroddiad Diwedd Blwyddyn eich plentyn.

   

  We will be conducting personal assessments in Literacy and Numeracy with pupils from years 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 over the next two weeks.

  These assessments will be integrated into each child's normal school day to avoid causing any unnecessary anxiety or worry amongst our pupils.

  The scores from these personal assessments will be shared with you in your child's End of Year School Report.

  Ar nos Fawrth, Gorffennaf 5ed a nos Fercher Gorffennaf 6ed, 2022, cynhelir nosweithiau agored yn yr ysgol er mwyn rhoi cyfle i rhieni ddod i mewn ac edrych ar waith eu plant. Rhennir mwy o wybodaeth yn agosach i'r amser.

   

  On Tuesday, July 5th and Wednesday July 6th, open evenings will be held at the school for our parents to come in and view and celebrate their children's work. More information will be shared with you nearer the time.
